Africa Uplifted is a non-profit public charity qualified under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Africa Uplifted was established in 2011 as a successor to The Lance and Julie Burma Foundation.
Access to healthcare in rural Sierra Leone is limited due to geographic and economic barriers. As a result, many children are born in primitive conditions with limited prenatal care
Africa Uplifted built and subsidizes a community health center in Manonkoh, Sierra Leone which has served as a birthing center for over 400 children.
