Our 2017 Christmas Letter

Our 2017 Christmas Letter

Greetings Africa Uplifted Family and Friends!

For the past several years, the pre-school students in the village of Manonkoh, Sierra Leone have had only a thatch hut for a classroom. Africa Uplifted’s sponsorship of the adjacent primary school has attracted more and more students in search of time with quality teachers and a daily school lunch (which is quite rare in Sierra Leone). As a result, the pre-school has grown as well.

In 2018, we hope to finally address this situation by constructing a new pre-school building in Manonkoh!

This past year has been busy for Africa Uplifted. We sent teams to Sierra Leone in February, April, and November. We leave again on January 6th with our first team for 2018.

Our many projects in Sierra Leone continue to operate including our sponsorship of the church, clinic and school in Manonkoh. Our junior secondary school scholarship program and school lunch have expanded as well. We have continued to gradually add additional projects that can be both impactful and sustainable.

We, and our board, are prepared to continue our work and with your support our programs will meet our mission to enrich the lives of the people of Sierra Leone.

We are currently organizing teams that will visit Sierra Leone during late 2018 and into early 2019. If you are interested in joining one of these teams, please contact us at the address below.

Wishing you all a very Merry “Chrismas” and a Happy 2018!
