Lance and Julie founded the Lance and Julie Burma Foundation in 2007. This foundation became Africa Uplifted in 2011. Lance is a retired actuary with management and financial experience and Julie is a retired customer service professional. Lance and Julie have three grown children and split their time between Cumberland, Wisconsin and Rancho Mirage, California. They travel to Sierra Leone several times each year.
