Greetings Africa Uplifted Family and Friends!
This year, we celebrated our 15th anniversary helping to enrich the lives of the people of Sierra Leone. We have continued to support various programs including:
- Providing maintenance support for the Doris Acton Community Health Center and UMC shools in Manonkoh,
- Serving school lunch every day,
- Providing scholarships for two dozen students aged seventh grade through college, and
- Subsidizing salaries and operational expenses for the schools in Manonkoh and the medical clinics in Manonkoh and Yonibana.
We were able to send two teams to Sierra Leone this year including a trip in April ourselves. It is always great to reconnect with our friends there. Our second team included medical personnel who saw over 500 patients.
In August, we held our first in-person fundraising event since 2019. Nearly 100 guests attended.
As always, our project manager, clinic staff, and teachers along with ourselves appreciate your ongoing support for our work. We wish you and yours a blessed holiday season and a happy new year!
